Dear list,
There comes a time in any over budget, over time, hopelessrestoration project that the only rational decision is to acquire more of thesame non-functional items. Therefore, I’mlooking to acquire an abandoned d1 digitizer, the brokener the better. Here is a photo of what I’m looking for combined with aphoto of it in surgery:Â
d1 digitizer
There was an assortment of accessories that came with the d1,which I’d certainly like to find. Thereis a calibration tool, offset adapter and positive model adapter. I wish I could send pictures of such but allI can find a blurry multigenerational copy of the instruction manual. I know they exist, I just don’t know whatthey exactly look like. If you havepictures of these and wish to share, I’d be much obliged.Â
Over the years I’ve seen a couple of this gathering dust, the product of an enthusiastic owner or manager, which never quite deliveredthe efficiency and productivity promised or perhaps the practitioners justnever embraced the technology. When I reached back and contacted these shops, the d1 had been scrappedyears ago when the purchaser retired or the shop was sold.Â
Best regards,
Charles
