I have a friend who is a 66 yo post polio male wearing a plastic and
metal KAFO.
I would enjoy introducing him to an “old school” orthotic
practitioner who can satisfy his demands. He is very active playing
golf and doing yard work but I would not classify him as patient who
beats on or abuses his KAFO.
In the past his provider would ignore his request/advice as to the
ankle and knee joint selection resulting in early brace problems and
ultimate brace failure.
He lives between Ocala and Tampa in Florida and he has adequate
insurance coverage.
