Inquiry – Additive manufacturing/3D printing activities in P&O schools

Daniel Blocka

Dear P&O schools and Educators.

We at the George Brown College Prosthetic & Orthotic Programs in Toronto, Canada are increasing access to our students to Additive Technologies (3D printing). To date this has been at the level of individual and small group research projects, but the hope is to increase this to part of the formal curriculum. This is in addition to workshops held by Voruum and Standard Cyborg.

Could you please let us know if you are currently giving students access to additive technologies/3D printing, and if so, please provide us some brief details about the activity be partaken in. If you are considering moving in this direction that would also be valuable to know.

We will be presenting an overview of the feedback received via the Listserv at the ISPO Canada Symposium in late September. We will also post back a synopsis of the results back to those who have responded.

We look forward to any responses received

Best regards,
Gordon Ruder & Dan Blocka
