Phantom pain

Does anyone know if acupuncture has ever been used as a treatment modality
for phantom pain?

If so was it successful?

Are there any articles published on the use of acupuncture for phantom pain?

I have a patient who has inquired about this subject.

He has tried multiple combinations of medications, desensitizing therapy,
and mirror therapy with no successful outcomes.
