Dear List Members:
I have an 82 y.o. male patient with a large right side inguinal hernia. The hernia is softball sized and reducible when the patient is supine. Additionally, the patient is a transfemoral amputee on the left side and wears a prosthesis. I am not aware of a prefabricated truss that would adequately cover and support this large hernia. Any suggestions on a possible custom truss or other ideas? Thanks for any responses.
