Our biller asked this question at the live webinar with Medicare today:
Q: I have a question regarding the ACA document date stamp requirements released 10/30. Are these requirements primarily for receipt of written dispensing orders prior to claim submission? I can’t think of any Orthotic/Prosthetic LCDs which have date receipt requirements on any other documentation. Or does this specifically apply to DME?
A: The ACA requirements do not apply to O&P items.
