The American Association of Breast Care Professionals (AABCP) will be
holding an *Post Mastectomy Industry Wide Conference Call, February 3rd,
2014 at 11:00 AM CST* to gather input, opinions and experiences regarding
how the current regulatory environment has affected the provision of post
mastectomy services.
The problems facing post mastectomy providers are growing. However, AABCP
as the national post mastectomy provider association has been working over
the past several months to be heard. An CMS is listening.
And because post mastectomy is such a unique service, the Center for
Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has agrees to sit down and discuss
specifics regarding several issues raised in a letter sent by AABCP, that
are directly affecting these post mastectomy providers. These issues
include: audits, the reasonableness of current regulations and other rules
that are jeopardizing Medicare and Medicaid beneficiary access to post
mastectomy services.
