Fwd: PECOS requirement (another attempt)

Instead of burdening all the providers as well as the Medicare employees
with ALL the recent attempts to get physicians to enroll in the PECOS
system, wouldn’t it be much more effective to inform the physicians
themselves that if they don’t enroll by a certain date that their payments
will be withheld?
I think this would get much better results and reduce the burden of
providers getting physicians to perform their requirements.
Is this common sense or am I missing something?
