Same/Similar Medicare Denials

Melissa A. Bolton, Admin. Dept.

Does anyone know where I can find the written verbiage for the same/similar item
requirements? I keep being told that it’s a five year time frame, but I can’t
seem to find where that is actually documented. I am having issues with LSOs
right now where the patient did not inform us they received a LSO previously and
Medicare is denying what we delivered due to same/similar.
