Hi everyone we have fit a patient with a CASH brace and billed L0472. Medicare sent us their letter stating that the claim lacks information which is needed to process the claim. I had billing use KX modifer and received the same result. I’m not sure now what Medicare is looking for. Dx code is 805.2. I don’t think CG modifers apply since this isn’t an elastic garment-but should I use them? I was also going to have billing state the manufacturer and type of CASH to show this is indeed a Medicare approved item. Anyone else run into this issue? Thank you. Paula Martinek, LPO.
