Hi All:
We just received our first RAC Audits. Yes, I realize we are probably lucky
that it has taken this long; however, we have received 5 of them at one time.
So, does anyone have any pointers? Obviously, because these are from years ago,
we do not have anywhere near the referring physician documentation that we
obtain for claims now, yet Medicare is requiring the same documentation.
I would love some input on where you all start and how you proceed in these
instances.
