For the select group and “highly specialized” providers who supply Cranial
Remolding Helmets, please reply to the below question:
In 2004, in a JPO article named “The Presentation of Deformational
Plagiocephaly” excerpt described, at the time of that publication, two
scales measuring CVAI (Cranial Vault Asymmetry) utilized in the orthotics
and prosthetics community. In the past 10 years Cranial Remolding business
has increased significantly. Can providers please reply with the measuring
scales they use and/or criteria they use to measure and determine
justification for treatment?
