Hey List,
Rehab specialist has requested an Ischial Ischial Weight Bearing KAFO for a female 20yo post ACL RE-rupture and femoral condylar defect revision.
Surgeon has requested non-weight bearing for 8/52. Patient is casual dental nurse and specialist was hoping for assistance with the KAFO during the job.
I have urged the specialist to explore the work environment and consider alternatives along the lines of height adjustable stools etc.
The cost and effort of manufacturing an Ischial Weight Bearing KAFO for 8/52 use is questionable to me?
IWalkfree and knee scooter options have been dismissed due to femoral condylar intervention.
Any ideas or solutions from the group?
