Lock Pin Installation Issue with Air-Lock

Matt Perkins

Due to recent inquiries/issues we have posted this note regarding
installation of the solid lock pin of our Air-Lock into various liners. We
hope this helps those that may have struggled but were unable to contact us.

We have found that the thread of different liners can vary widely, some are
extremely sloppy and some are extremely tight with our new solid pin. To
help securely install the pins in liners we created a locking feature on the
pin threads. Unfortunately the threads of some liners may be even tighter
than we realized, making the new pins extremely difficult to install in some
cases. These new pins may need to be installed using a 11mm or 7/16″
wrench. The last thread will be the most difficult to thread in as it
“locks” in place.

If you feel you have a pin that will not thread into the liner please
contact Coyote immediately.

Even with this feature we still recommend using Loctite 262 during install.
If threading into a liner with a plastic distal adaptor Loctite Primer 7649
should also be used.

We have already adjusted the thread size but these smaller threads are not
in wide circulation yet. We apologize for this issue, if you have any
questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact us. (800) 819-5980
