Hello Colleagues and Guests,

Here are the “final” results that will be posted. Again thanks for the
replies. I’ll post the answer, should we find one. We’ll try the
sandpaper first.

I need to look like a genius. Lately, my face has been so long, folks
say I should be eating oats out of a bucket. I just tell them that I’ve
been so poor lately that I can’t even pay attention. Those in health
care fully understand. Have a nice weekend.

> Take a piece of sandpaper and lightly sand both surfaces of the
overlap. Just enough to remove the sheen from the plastic. Noise should
be gone and you’ll look like a genius.> I normally find that the rocker
it out of alignment with patient’s gait causing torsion throughout the
brace and causing overlap to squeak. Hope this helps.

> I recently had this problem. We tried trimming plastic, trimming aliplast,
adding powder, thicker sock, adding 1/4″ plastizote to inside of anterior
shell… eventually ended up replacing Velcro straps with ratchet buckles.
This allowed the patient to get a tighter fit and the squeaking between
ant/post plastic stopped.

> did you look at the soling material separating. Normally it would make a popping sound if it was delaminating but is could squeak
