The Challenged Athletes Foundation seeks applicants for the Dodge
Paratriathlon Camp in Pensacola, FL May 5-8, 2011. The application deadline
has been extended to March 28!
Located at the beautiful Portofino Island Resort & Spa in Pensacola, FL,
this is the second in an official series of USA Paratriathlon technical
training camps designed to help amputee and SCI paratriathletes become more
proficient and confident in the sport. Paratriathlon was recently added to
the program for 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and the Challenged
Athletes Foundation is working with its partners to provide a comprehensive
camp featuring elite level coaches that will take your participation in the
sport to the next level whether your goal is to make it to Rio or just set
a PR in your local event. The camp, lodging and meals are free, and a $400
travel stipend will be provided by CAF.
This is not a camp for those who are already at an elite level or for those
who are just beginning in the sport. Each athlete should have their own
equipment and should be at least proficient in all three disciplines:
swimming, biking and running. The Paratriathlon categories to be included in
