Dear members,
I just wanted to concur how wonderful an achievement that was made in London
to
attach a upper limb prosthesis using a post implanted into the patients
humerus. The culmination of specialists over the years is spectacular
event.
We all know It is a very expensive to be the first in anything. Over 20
years ago we had the “Vorum” CAD/CAM company bring us digital prosthetics.
Next some time later Mr. Al Finniston,CPO introduced his own program
“BioScupture”, and added for our comfort recognizable icon tools designed as
images from our prosthetic hand skill set. This feature made CAD more
intuitive; thank you Alan. With this short history lesson I just mean to say
we should all bring our skill set up. Many of the new graduates will want
to work for a laboratory that is scanning; and that goes for all of us who
wish we were too.
