Dressing changes

Ed

We have been seeing prescriptions lately requesting we exclusively
provide dressing changes for newly amputated patients who are confined
to SNFs.

My questions are as follows:

1. Are dressing changes within our scope of practice?

2. Are we insured under our practice insurance or is a special rider
required?

3. Reimbursement and appropriate coding?
