Subject: Dycor CFS partial foot prosthesis (USA)
Hi All,
I wanted to try Dycor’s custom partial foot as advertised in a few of our
trade magazines.. obtained and completed their casting instructions and
mailed the model per their requirements to their facility for fabrication.
I then got a call from the Dycor business office requesting full prepayment
for the device up front before they will begin fabrication. Of course this
threw up a red flag for me, as this is not a normal business practice for
our industry. Next Dycor informed us the partial foot once fabricated may
cause contact dermatitis, defects in workmanship are covered for three weeks
and fit is not guaranteed at all. Does not sound very reassuring to me..
But in fairness to my patient who wants to try this product I am querying
you out there in cyberspace. Please let me know if you have any experience
with the CFS partial foot by Dycor and I will be happy to post all comments
to the list.
