simphysis pubis separation solutions

Karl Entenmann

Thank you all for offering me suggestions to help reduce a 3 inch simphysis pubis separation post partum.  I ended up using a cybertech type back support, which with some cutting and sewing became an anterior pull device.  I combined it with a standard elastic double pull LSO, cutting out the string pulleys and attaching them to the front of the double pull LSO to effectively reducing the separation to zero.   When the physician first looked at what I made, his first reaction was that it “wasn’t what I wanted”.  Once he looked at the XRays, he was delighted at my enginuity.  Thank you all for your suggestions.
