Announcement: Lake Placid Adaptive Cycling festival, June 13th, 2009

Jeff Erenstone

Adirondack Adaptive Adventures is teaming up with Camp No Limits and
Mountain Orthotic and Prosthetic Services to organize a fun-filled day of
cycling, confidence building, skills instruction and gear demos for cyclists
of all abilities. The day will consist of beginner, intermediate, and
expert-level bike rides in Lake Placid and the surrounding area, with a
slide show, dinner and guest speakers to follow.

All cyclists are welcome, including those who ride bicycles, tricycles,
tandems, handcycles, recumbents or anything else. There will be supported
group rides for intermediate and expert riders. For beginners we will have
skilled volunteer instructors to help new riders enjoy cycling in a way that
best suites their abilities.

This festival is a celebration of adaptive recreation. We will to have
vendors and manufacturers of adaptive cycling equipment on hand and loan out
equipment for the riders to try.

We invite anyone who has found a creative solution to their cycling
challenges to come and share their experiences.

More details about this event will be published to the Adirondack Adaptive
Adventures Facebook page and at www.lakeplacidadaptive.com. Please check
back for updates.
