Title: Business Development Manager – Foot Orthopedics
Primary Responsibilities:
* Responsible for business development with current and new
distribution partners for the U.S. Foot Orthopedic business unit
* Responsible for total Sales and Marketing of Foot Orthopedics in
the U.S. market
* Responsible for creating a business plan to position Bauerfeind
Foot Orthopedics in the U.S. market. Implement the brand strategy, as well
as grow sales and market share
* Responsible for market analysis, as well as the identification of
additional product needs, product requirements and product modifications
* Contact person for opinion leaders in the podiatrist and CPO
market
* Contact person for the German Foot Orthopedics and Marketing
departments
* Knowledge of the U.S. market concerning market trends,
competition, pricing and products offered.
* Knowledge of the U.S. market concerning reimbursement issues with
Medicare and Medicaid, legal issues, SADMERC, alpha numeric group, CMS, etc.
Tasks and Goals:
* Create and implement a sales strategy to position Bauerfeind Foot
Orthopedics in the U.S. market
* Expand sales in the U.S. market to provide Bauerfeind Foot
Orthopedics with a considerable market share
* Observe and analyze market trends, competition, general
developments and legal issues in the U.S. market
* Analysis of market requirements in the U.S. and developing country
specific campaigns, projects and marketing materials
* Analyze reimbursement parameters to derive new product
requirements
* Cooperation with Bauerfeind Foot Orthopedics in Germany regarding
sales strategy, product mix, pricing and marketing campaigns
* Planning and working within the established budget for Foot
Orthopedics
* Cooperation with Marketing in Germany in regards to product
development and project management
* Responsible for trainings and workshops for the sales force and
employees of current and new distribution partners, both internally and
externally
* Communications with opinion leaders in the market
* Responsible for market studies
* Product specialist for intensive questions and customer support
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Health Care or related field
Experience: 5 – 7 years sales experience, prior management experience;
prior experience working with distributors
