Diabetic shoe codes- A5507?

Fellow List Members,

Can anyone explain to me the intent of the code A5507 and when it can be used properly. I am bit confused by the wording “…not otherwise specified modification (including fitting)…”. Since A5500 and A5501 both include fittind is this not redundant?
Does this allow us to charge for the fitting time in addition to a modification or am I just reading too much into this?
