Dear List Members,
I have a symes patient for whom we have had multiple silicone/vinyl prosthesis with posterior zipper fabricated via central fab. because none of the prosthesis have fit the patient satisfactorily. In order to satisfy the patient,ensure proper fit and for cost considerations, I would like to fabricate the same, in-house. I have contacted the central fab. company which we used to make the previous prosthesis, but they declined to share the know-how due to propreitory reasons.
Anyone on the list-server who has the knowledge of how to fabricate silicone/vinyl partial foot prosthesis and doesn’t mind sharing it, can please email me with the specific materials and the lay up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
