Georgia Society Of Orthotists and Prosthetists Meeting

Dr. Jan Ertl and Tony Barr of the Barr Foundation are pleased to accept the
invitations to the GSOP meeting being held in Atlanta at the Crowne Plaza
Ravinia on March 3-5.

The GSOP has graciously accepted and Dr. Ertl has offer to evaluate any
patient, that comes to the meeting on March 4th, accompanied with a GSOP
prosthetist member, as a possible candidate for the osteomyoplastic
amputation procedure. If you have a patient that may require initial
amputation and /or reconstruction surgery, please coordinate an appointment
for their complimentary evaluation with Tony Barr at [email protected]
or 561-394-6514 to be added to the list.

All evaluations will be done in privacy outside of the speakers room ,
however attendance of the patient’s prosthetist and / or surgeon is
required.
Candidates may have an opportunity of speaking with other Ertl amputees at
the conference on March 4th.

Mission Statement

The Barr Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1978 to
assist amputees recieve proper and qualified prosthetic rehabilitation who
would otherwise have no other financial resources to obtain them.

The organization also actively advocates on behalf of amputees
internationally for proper and qualified prosthetic services and innovative
surgical techniques.
One of our current roles is promoting the Ertl Osteomyoplastic Amputation
Procedure for initial amputation and reconstruction surgery.
The Ertl procedure is directed at reconstructing the extremities’ anatomy
and physiology to create and active and prosthetically optimal residual
limb.

ErtlReconstruction.com is a website operated/maintained by Ertl procedure
amputees, as well as supporters of the procedure. The included information
concerning the current practicing Dr. Ertl(s) and the growing list of
physicans performing the procedure, is done out of respect for them and to
honor the memories of Janos Ertl, Sr. (the originator of the Ertl Procedure)
and William G. Barr, one of thousands of Ertl recipients and avid advocate
for the proper surgical care for the amputee.
