For anyone interested at the AAOP FLORIDA MEETING THE CORONADO Q room
on THURSDAY, MARCH 17 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm is set up for us to have a
ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION. (and please pass this along)
This is very informal and we will basically discuss the article “A
Theory of Leadership for the Transformation for Health Care
Organizations”. We can spin this to discuss what hospital systems are
doing in a positive movement in your area to improve and how we, as O/P
care can be a part of it. Please let me know if you can attend. I think
this will be a great, energizing, open discussion. Remember, no history
lessons of how good it “used to be” for us, or of how awful things
are…etc. Please bring with you the article (if you don’t have it, I’ll
be happy to send you a copy). There is another article that I will send
you “The Bell Curve” by Atul Gawande – a surgeon and writer for the New
Yorker. Also author of the book “Complications” that I’d encourage as a
read. If you like books on tape for all the road trips, this is
