I have recently opened a small O&P practice in north east Georgia. Earlier this week a young man came to my office with a script for a thigh high lymph edema stocking. He is 6’4″ and weighs 300lbs. His leg is so deformed that he needs a custom stocking. He has GA Medicaid and I have heard that in some cases they will pay for these garments but I have not yet become a provider for GA Medicaid so I can not bill. He is willing to travel so my question is, is there anyone in the greater Atlanta area who has experience billing for these garments and if so, would you be willing to help this young man? Thanks!
