To the O&P Community,
It is with great pleasure that I announce the newly elected officers and
directors of the O&P Assistance Fund’s Board of Directors for 2004.
As an original founder of the Fund and this year’s Lifetime Achievement
Award recipient, our new president, Don Hardin, brings significant
experience and administrative talents to lead our board in new
directions and exciting growth.
Over several years as director and treasurer, Jack Richmond has
demonstrated a commitment and dedication second to none. I’m certain his
energy and hard work will be a significant asset in the position of
president elect.
A newly created chair of vice president was added through a recent bylaw
change. This position was created as a means to add more energy and
creativity to our executive committee and to insure that the future
leadership of OPAF will be strong and dynamic. Michael Burton will be
it’s first officer. After observing Mike’s participation on our board as
director, I am certain he will contribute to the future success of the
Fund and it’s programs.
Jinsook Han is our first officer from outside the O&P industry. She has
been a wonderful addition to our board as her insight and expertise has
been instrumental in recent challenges we have faced. As a CPA and loss
control specialist she will certainly make an excellent treasurer.
Bob Arborgast of Ohio Willow Wood Inc. was elected to fill the
Thranhardt Chair of our bod. His experience as CEO of OWW brings a
significant wealth of knowledge to our board.
Bill Limehouse CP was elected to fill the ABC Representative Chair. Bill
has significant volunteer experience with ABC and is a frequent lecturer
stemming from his role as upper extremity expert for Hanger O&P.
Jennifer Fayter of Slack Inc. will be our manufacturer’s representative.
In her position at the O&P Business News and O&P World publications she
brings experience in marketing and advertising to our board. Jennifer
has been a participant, volunteer, and supporter of the Fund for several
years.
