There is a multidiameter drill bit that is used to drill out a solid block of wood to receive both the ankle bolt and also the tee nut (exoskeletal work). In the past I have seen in catalogs both metric and English sized “step drills” specifically for this application. The problem is that now that I need one, I just can’t find it.
