I would like to clearify the situation about the availability of myo electric prosthesis in Pakistan At present in all over the Pakistan there is only one insitute which can provide the myo-electric devices and that is PIPOS.
Manufacturing of Myo-electric prosthesis and maintanence required a very developed and sophisticated workshop,uptodate knowledge,medical engineering and skills,as every body related to this field knows very well and due to the lack of required out put or demand of these types of myo-electrical devices in this country,there is less possibility of the manufacturing or fitting of myo-electrical devices here.there are a few patients who can afford these types of devices and maintanence is very difficult because of the hot summers and sweating conditions.
Threre are talented and professional people here in this country but the circumstances are not favourable, one Pakistani engineer is working in one the best manufacturing companies of myo-electric prosthesis in united states of America,whom i know personally.
So according to my analysis it will be better for Mr.Kazmi that he should contact the PIPOS that is located in Peshawer(Pakistan),i m sure they can help you in this direction,otherwise it will be better for you to contact the mentioned facility in United states and if you need the address of that company ,i can e-mail you personally about the details of their services.
