Has anyone been paid for the “K” codes K0556,K0557,K0558,and K0559 by =
their Medicare DMERC. I have come across a medicare transmittal =
(Transmittal A-02-097) dated October 11, 2002 that advises the carriers =
that the “K” codes will not be recognized in the system till the January =
updates are released. It advises the carriers to instruct prividers to =
continue using the deleted “L” codes until December 31, 2002. Using the =
“K” codes may be rejected with an edit reason code of 06.=20
