SAWA or equivalent

Brett Barnts

Received an order for a “shoulder dislocation brace” for a 16 y.o. =
active male who would like to wrestle and to play rugby. This is a 210 =
# male, hx of 8 dislocations per year, with surgery to stabilize GH =
joint about 5 mos. ago.

I am familiar with the SAWA (now called Max? brace), but am interested =
if anyone has used anything else that might be more appropriate for this =
young man.=20

Unfortunately, the primary control desired by the doctor is E.R., which =
will be tough with most designs I’m familiar with. =20

Interested in your input, results to be posted.

Thank you.
