Looking Up Patents made easy!

Craig MacKenzie

Just a short side-note to add to the debate on patents in the P&O field.

All patents are available for review at www.uspto.gov. Any item provided to

you by a manufacturer must have the associated patent number printed clearly

somewhere on the package or literature. You can also search for patents by

many other forms if you don’t have the patent number. By downloading the

viewer (for free from Altera…link supplied at www.uspto.gov) you can get an

exact copy of the patent printed for ease of reading.

For people who are concerned about the mechanical or chemical composition of

certain products this is an excellent way to get information.
