I am seeing a gentleman who has a three year hx of RSD. He presents
with a painful, grossly swollen right UE and is considering a shoulder
disarticulation or trans-humeral amputation shortly. There are also
vascular compromises. I am to fit him with a simple elbow extension
orthosis for an immediate problem but my question is not about this.
Does anyone know of physicians or centers who specialize in RSD? I
don’t know much about his case but wanted to get info from the list on
whether anyone has dealt with such a problem or suggestions I may be
able to give to the referring physician(not the surgeons, but a pain
