An Announcement from the Academy:
New technical society is being formed!
The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) is being
petitioned to allow the development of a new scientific society to focus on
the technical aspects of O&P. The new society will use input from its
members as well as other professional organizations to establish a national
database for the generation and dissemination of technical information. By
encouraging members to undertake scientific research in all aspects of our
field and by researching existing information, we hope to be able to
generate a more science-based protocol for our day to day tasks.
