Texas State Licensure

Reed Coleman

I am looking for Facility Owners and Practitioners (certified or not)

that reside outside of the State of Texas but actually practice within

the State of Texas. As most are aware, Texas has passed a Licensure Bill

for O & P. The Bill as it stands would preclude a non-resident from

becoming Licensed in Texas whether or not his/her employment was located

within the State of Texas. I own a facility in Louisiana and Texas and

am being told that once the Bill is implemented that I might not

“legally” be able to practice in my own facility that is located in

Texas. (I reside in Louisiana). After speaking with some of the people

who were instrumental in the “design” of the Bill, I was told to try and

locate other Practitioners/Facility Owners who are in the same

situation. If the above applies to you, please e-mail (private) your

responses to me at your earliest convenience.
