Urathane sleeves

beth kuske

Hello!

I currently have a patient who presents with a transtibial prosthesis, with
suction and an Alps urathane sleeve for suspension. We are having a
difficult time getting the urathane sleeve to adhere to the laminated
socket. We have tried putting paper tape over the socket and then applying
the sleeve, to allow the Urathane of the sleeve something to grab on to,
and it has helped some, but not as well as we were hoping. Has anyone else
encountered this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions that may help?

Thank you,
Beth
