The Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) and The First Clinics announced that O&P professionals who attend a First Stride Training and Clinic can earn 4.5 continuing education credits (CEUs) through the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC).
First Stride offers clinical education to O&P practitioners and allied healthcare professionals in an introduction to gait training for people with lower-limb amputations. Prosthetic componentry, K-level determination, and clinical notes are part of the three-hour classroom portion, followed by a two-hour hands-on Train the Trainer First Stride Clinic. Physical therapists and physical therapist assistants can also earn CEUs in over 40 states.
