OPIE has made organizational changes designed to reflect an investment in its growth and continued evolution as a healthcare IT leader serving O&P. OPIE has expanded from providing software tools and support to adding integrated business service solutions and educational programs.
“We have created new roles within our organization and are adding team members to ensure we have the correct mix of skill sets and experiences to position OPIE for continued sustainability and growth,” said Paul Prusakowski, CEO.
Now part of the OPIE restructured team, Priya Rudradas, chief operating officer, has come on board to shift the organizational management processes to best practices defined in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). She has a background in software development, instructional design, and healthcare IT. Rudradas has a master’s degree in computer science, an altMBA, and coursework toward a PhD in educational and instructional technology.
Christine Aytug is the executive project manager to Prusakowski. She has a master’s in business administration from Duke University, as well as extensive experience in project management and physician education. She will support the CEO with project management of key research and development (R&D) initiatives.
Brooks Pistole, business intelligence liaison, will oversee process improvement and testing of new software tools and services at Gainesville Prosthetics and Orthotics, Florida. Pistole will participate in the OPIE Choice MasterMind groups beginning in 2018 to work with other OPIE leaders on practice improvement projects. He has 36 years of experience in aerospace mechanical engineering, and has focused on AS9100 compliance, design process optimization, and quality metrics. He will help in transitioning R&D initiatives into a real-life, clinical environment.
Finally, Sandy Howell, strategic project manager previously the director of consulting services, will refocus her efforts on global business development and special projects related to business intelligence and financial strategies. She has worked in various finance, IT-related, and management roles in O&P for more than 20 years.
