Össur, Reykjavik, Iceland, appointed Gudny Arna Sveinsdottir as its chief financial officer. She will join the Össur executive committee on September 1.
Sveinsdottir has held finance roles at Kvika Bank and Teva Pharmaceuticals/Actavis, including as the CFO of Teva Pharmaceutical Generic R&D. Sveinsdottir was an independent consultant to financial institutions in Iceland before joining Teva and worked in various finance roles at Kaupthing Bank from 2001 to 2008, including as the CFO. She has a master’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Uppsala in Sweden and an economics and finance degree from the University of Iceland.
