Ottobock, Duderstadt, Germany, marked its 100th anniversary on February 18, with a celebration and visits from German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Stephan Weil, and Wolfgang Nolte, mayor of Duderstadt. The city invited about 350 guests from politics, industry, and academia to attend the celebration.
Ottobock will continue to celebrate the milestone with events and activities planned throughout the year. “I would like to thank all of our employees and their families as well as Ottobock’s associates and the city of Duderstadt who have contributed to our company’s success in the past and continue to do so today,” said Hans Georg Näder, chairman of the management board of Ottobock SE & Co. KGaA.
Ottobock’s first foreign subsidiary was founded in Minneapolis in 1958. Today, Ottobock has more than 7,000 employees at over 50 locations worldwide.
