Mecuris was granted a patent for its digital tailoring technology that integrates digital technologies into the traditional O&P workflow. The company, founded seven years ago, focuses on helping clinicians make O&P device fittings more efficient through digital processes.
“On the one hand, this shows that our path is successful, and on the other hand, that our product has unique selling propositions, which we want to expand and secure via further patents in the future,” said Wolf-Peter Werner, cofounder and CEO.
Mecuris sees itself integrated into a digital value chain—from scanner to software to manufacturing—that work together.
“The enormous strides in development that we have witnessed in the industry in recent years in our core markets of Germany and the USA give reason to believe that we are progressing faster than anticipated, together with prosthetists and orthotists as well as the economy,” said Bianca Weber, COO and head of software development.
Mecuris is also pursuing expansion of its platform architecture.
“In the medium term, our users do not want to struggle with different solutions. Therefore, we are continuously developing our software and, based on clear market priorities, integrating valuable partners into our platform,” said Werner.
