A recent poll question highlighted a post on social media regarding brand awareness. Eric Neufeld, CPO, CEO, posed a question on LinkedIn asking whether it’s right to show pride or is it just shameless self-promotion. His post generated a lively discussion on what the appropriate role is for brand awareness. We wanted to know what our followers thought about where the line should be.
We asked, “When it comes to brand awareness, what’s too much? What’s not enough? What’s just right?”
Forty-four percent said it depends on the product, and 44 percent said, “Brand away!” Eight percent said one should not self-promote, and three percent said other, and gave us other ideas. Said one follower, “When it comes to branding, I personally believe that it depends on the product and in what ways you brand it.” Another follower just called Neufeld the GOAT.
Our Twitter followers’ votes were unanimous, saying that it depends on the product.
Another poll focused on the way people sign off on their professional emails. Of those who responded to our question, “From a professional standpoint, what to do you typically say to sign off on your email?,” 38 percent said they use “Best”; 34 percent sign-off using “Regards”; 21 percent say “Sincerely”, and eight percent sign off with “Cheers.” Everyone who responded on Twitter use “Sincerely.”
Last week we wanted to know what our social media followers thought about tattoos. According to the study from Advanced Dermatology, the top reasons for regretting them include not liking how it looks, being disappointment in the tattoo artist’s work, the original meaning is no longer accurate, and potential negative impacts when it comes to professional opportunities.
So we asked, “How do you feel about your tattoo(s), if you have one?” Sixty-two percent of those who responded said they didn’t have a tattoo; 33 percent said they have no regrets about getting a tattoo and plan to get more; and five percent said other (but didn’t expand on that). No one had any plans to get their tattoos removed, so that’s better than the national average.
On Twitter there were unanimously no regrets: No one taking our poll had a tattoo.
Our current poll question focuses on the morning routine, which is pretty safe to say that everyone has one. Our question, “How do you start most mornings during the workweek?,” is up and in full swing. So far, our voters are definitely saying the best way to start the morning is by drinking a cup of coffee. Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
