Every month The O&P EDGE staff works diligently to produce a top-of-the-line magazine that serves the O&P industry with the latest and most up-to-date information. We do it well because we work as a cohesive team. We wanted to know what others thought and posed this question: What’s the best way to motivate a team in your company?
Of those who responded on LinkedIn, 63 percent say having supportive leadership makes a difference; 23 percent said it is important to get recognition and praise; 10 percent said they like having autonomy at work; and three percent said they enjoy tackling tough projects to build team spirit.
With the aftermath of Hurricane Helene still in the headlines and Hurricane Milton barreling down on the Sunshine State’s Gulf Coast this week, we asked our followers what measures they take at work to ensure that employees and businesses are prepared when disaster strikes. On LinkedIn, 80 percent said have an emergency plan in place, and 20 percent said that it is important to communicate with employees. Our other options were to trust the team and to have backup records, but those didn’t make the priority list for our respondents.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know that, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, more than 360,000 people (men and women) will be diagnosed this year? Our current question: “What can you do to be more proactive as well as show your support?” It’s up and in full swing. So far, voters are split between donate to the cause and get the recommended screening.
