Since the New Year is just a couple weeks old, our most recent poll highlighted phrases that people say to friends and loved ones when it comes to wishing them a happy new year—out with the old and in with the new as they say!
Our question was “What are some of the best ways you phrase your new year wishes?”
Of those who responded, 50 percent say, “health and happiness to you and yours.” 25 percent say, “peace and love,” and 13 percent say, “warmest wishes.” The rest chose “other, you tell us.” But no one told us.
On Twitter, our followers responded evenly, 50 percent say, “health and happiness to you and yours” and the other half say, “warmest wishes.”
Our Christmas poll asked about favorite holiday songs. 33 percent chose Silent Night, 18 percent like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer best, and 12 percent said Jingle Bells. Thirty-six percent chose “other, you tell us,” and they did this time!
One follower said their favorite was Heat Miser/Snow Miser from the movie The Year Without a Santa Claus. “Or the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy version. Also awesome.” We agree. One person’s favorite was Silver Bells and another follower had two favorites: Step into Christmas by Elton John or Jingle Bell Rock. We might ask again next year to update our playlist.
On Twitter, followers were unanimous, Silent Night was the favorite. You can’t go wrong with the classics.
Our question for this week’s poll is about Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin, who experienced a cardiac arrest after making a tackle on Monday Night Football on January 2. Almost everyone knows the importance of performing CPR in those first few precious seconds after cardiac arrest. Our question: “Is your staff trained on the basics of performing CPR?”
Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
