Articles in the April issue of Amplitude magazine discussed and highlighted travel tips for amputees, including what works for a smooth and uneventful flying experience. With that in mind our question was what’s the hardest thing about traveling as an amputee? Two-thirds said dealing with other people’s perceptions was the biggest challenge and the rest said it was just flying in general. No one chose the other option about finding accessible lodging, so that’s a positive.
When it comes to sharing good news, we wanted to know who was the first person our followers shared that information with. Of those who responded, 53 percent go to their significant other with good news, 33 percent said their parent(s), and 15 percent said friends or other family members are their go-to. (If you’re like this writer, my mother is the first person I call when I have good news to share.)
CMS announced that it will begin phasing out fax machines this month, with full compliance required by 2028. While email may be the most popular form of digital communication for businesses, faxes are still going strong, according to efax.com, particularly in the medical and legal professions. We asked, does your O&P business still use a fax machine? Of those who responded, 74 percent said yes, 21 percent said no, and 5 percent said they got rid of their fax machines years ago.
This week’s poll highlights the month of May, which is known for Mother’s Day, resilience, and renewal. We’re asking our followers what they could do to feel rejuvenated for the month.
