Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, pondered how designers of orthoses and prostheses could advance technology to empower individuals with physical limitations to function more effectively. That idea was realized by the efforts of Robert Gregor, PhD, a biomechanist who at the time headed the Center for Human Movement Studies and the Department of Health and Performance Science at Georgia Tech.
