The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) is calling for experienced clinicians to serve in its clinical volunteer programs in Guatemala and Ecuador this year.
ROMP is a nonprofit organization with the mission to ensure access to high-quality prosthetic care for underserved people, improving mobility and independence. It operates permanent prosthetics clinics in Guatemala and Ecuador serving access-limited patients year-round. Each year numerous volunteers work with local, prosthetists certified by the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics to provide care to vulnerable patients and to exchange clinical knowledge and skills.
Volunteers receive eight scientific continuing education units through their service with ROMP.
Volunteers are needed for the following programs:
- July 12-21 in Guatemala City, Guatemala
- August 3-11 in Quito, Ecuador
- November 8-17 in the Ecuadorian Amazon
