Our recent poll question, a two-part question about recruiting employees in O&P, started with the first question: What avenues, websites, etc., do O&P job candidates take/look for when pursuing potential employment? Thirty-six percent of those who responded said they’ll use trade journals and websites to apply; seven percent said they’ll apply on a company’s website, and seven percent said networking at conferences is their preference. Fifty percent of those taking the poll said they’ll use all of the above.
Last week’s question was: What are the most important things to take into consideration when looking for a job? Fifteen percent said having flexible hours was one of the most important factors when looking for that dream job. Forty percent said good pay and benefits were most important, 42 percent said company values and culture were most important, and four percent said location, location, location was their main consideration when applying for a position.
Speaking of responses, our latest poll—Christmas Day!— is up and in full swing. Our question: What’s your favorite thing about Christmas Day?
Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
