No one felt dark humor was always unethical, and one follower said, “Research with military amputees found that dark humor is an indicator of recovery from depression. It’s a coping mechanism.”
How can O&P clinicians offer holistic care to their patients?
Responses
76 percent said clinicians can coordinate with therapists
14 percent said they can provide secondary prostheses
The remainder had other suggestions, including facilitating peer support from a person with lived experience.
